Zimbabwe offers you the opportunity to hunt the BIG 4 through healthy and ethically hunted populations.
The BIG 4 include the most dangerous and challenging game animals for hunters on the African continent: elephant, lion, leopard and buffalo.
Hunting the kings of Africa’s wild has always captivated big game hunters from around the world and is governed by an internationally recognized system of quotas for hunting.
The healthy populations in the Save Valley offer you the best chances to make your hunting trip an unforgettable experience together with our experienced professional hunters.
We will advise you in detail about hunting methods, seasonal peculiarities and trophy preparation.
What to Bring on safari
All clothing should be of dark neutral colours in greens, browns or greys. No bright colours please!!!
- 3 long sleeved shirts (long sleeves are preferable as they can be rolled up or down depending on the temperature)
- 3 shorts or trousers depending on preference
- 3 pairs of socks
- Light fleece jersey
- Warm jacket for early mornings and evenings (Africa gets cold!)
- Gloves, scarves, and beanies
- 2 pairs of comfortable walking shoes
- Gators to keep sand and stones out of shoes
- Wide brimmed hat or cap
- Comfortable clothing and footwear to wear at dinnertime and around the campfire in the evenings
- Casual clothing for any sightseeing
- Personal medications and toiletries (must include sunscreen and insect repellent)
- Malarial tablets (check with your doctor before travelling)
Please Note: all forms of camouflage are ILLEGAL in Zimbabwe
Laundry is done on a daily basis so there is no need to have too many changes of clothes
- Soft gun case to protect the rifles on the back of the vehicle
- Cartridge belt/slide (should hold a minimum 10 cartridges)

- Phones and gadgets (Electricity is 220-240 volts with most places using 3 pin plugs. Power banks and solar charges advisable)
- Torch for use around camp

- For dangerous game such as elephant, buffalo, lion and hippo, we recommend a minimum of 375 H & H magnum. Please bring premium quality bullets such as Barnes, Swift A Frame and the German LFB. For elephants, SOLIDS ONLY.
- For plains game species, leopard and crocodile, we recommend as the minimum a 7x57mm. The various .30 calibres make a great choice. Please bring only premium quality expanding bullets.
A deposit of 50% of the total daily rate is required to secure your booking with the balance payable prior to the commencement of the safari. We will forward a detailed summary of our terms and conditions to you with your Safari Contract, when confirming your booking.

DAILY RATES INCLUDE:
- All camp accommodation during the safari.
- The services of professional hunter and complete safari staff including trackers, skinners, cooks and camp staff.
- One modern 4-wheel drive hunting vehicle per professional hunting team for all ground transportation during the safari. Each vehicle is comprehensively equipped for hunting safaris.
- Provision of all camp equipment including spacious mosquito-proof tents, specially designed safari beds, camp furniture, linen, water-filters, fridges, deep freezers etc.
- We pride on quality cuisine with imported wines and beers. Special dietary requirements to be advised when booking.
- Alcoholic beverages both imported and domestic are supplied for reasonable consumption by clients, in addition to beer, wine, sodas.
- Comprehensive first-aid kits in each vehicle and base camps.
- Daily laundry service.
BASIC RATES DO NOT INCLUDE:
- Air charter from Harare to camp, at the start of the safari and return to Harare at the end of the safari. +15% Departure Tax at airport per person
- Optional Vehicle Transfer Harare/ Camp/Harare.
- Hotel expenses before, during or after the contracted period of the Safari.
- Clients are responsible for all freight charges of trophies or taxidermy work from Harare to final destination.
- Hotel expenses before, during or after the contracted period of the Safari.
- Freight charges on any personal effects from Harare to final destination.
- Johannesburg transfer and handling fees on arrival and departure if routing through South Africa. Dependant on client requirements and documentation and including the clearing of firearms.
- Any accommodation requested in National Parks, i.e. Lodges or Safari camps.
- Any National Park fees, i.e. Entrance fees.
- Any extra tips not included in agreed safari itinerary.
- Government Tourism Levy 2% on services on daily rates and 4% on Trophy Fees. Please note that this levy is subject to change.
- Visa charges (if applicable) and departure tax.
- Compulsory Medical Evacuation Insurance at a fee of $20per person
- $350 Documentation for handling of trophies
- Dip, pack, freight or taxidermy work to final destination
- Clearing of rifles and luggage trough all relevant custom authorities to and from any destination
